updates

Kev is still real down and out! He is now getting extremely restless, which is a terrible when combined with weakness. He lays in bed like a turtle on his back just waiting to fall asleep. Soon, real soon the counts should start climbing. Ma bagged work again to apply some TLC to the list of drugs. Dr. Khan is a bit surprised he is as low as he is at the moment, but it's not uncommon due to the amount and strength of chemo he took last week. To help speed things up they gave him some Magnesium (the fourth most abundant mineral in the body. Only 1% of magnesium is found in blood, but the body works very hard to keep blood levels of magnesium constant. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, and supports a healthy immune system),Potassium (an element (and an electrolyte) that's essential for the body's growth and maintenance. It's necessary to keep a normal water balance between the cells and body fluids. A potassium deficiency is due to increased urinary loss.) and some platelets.

He has been too weak to eat so a nutritionist stop by and recommended some nutrition.. who would have thought. So before bed they strung up a bag of nutrition that looked like watered-down creamy mashed potatoes and Kev feasted. Tomorrow we will attempt to move Kev into a chair for a bit to get his equilibrium thinking more vertical. For the love of pete, keep'm crossed for the whites to rise up!!

Kevin,
You might be tired of hearing this, but stay strong and keep fighting. I know you can win this battle.
Kev's family...you are doing a great job with the website and the ongoing support. Every morning I get up and check on Kevin's progress. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Christin and I want to come to see you as soon as you are up to it.

Love ya,
Jennifer (Frantz) K.

Hey Kev,

Just wanted to drop in to say HI and tell you to stay strong, just keep thinking Bora Bora....even though we are going to have to give your Dad a map to show him where it is. Tell everyone that I said HI and I can't wait to get some of your moms home cooking. If you are feeling down, just flip through "Everybody Poops" and it should give you a smile :)
Miss and Love Ya

Kevin - You better get your strength back soon because if I have to come up from Florida and kick your butt, you know I will. Keep laughing as that will get you through most anything.

We love you and miss you down here, so hurry up and get well. Miss you and love you. Myra
