Hat Trick

Kev got news today that his white count was up and the doctor said they are gonna keep him another 24 hours to be certain, then maybe he can come home. That was around 10:17 in the a.m. (eastern standard time) Kev felt pretty good in the morning as he got out of bed and sat, in what has become known as the worst chair in the world. Picture a 1972 two tone green ford pinto with a brown hood, driven by an elderly couple with the blinker on and they are noticeably arguing because he has gas... you are stuck behind them and are very late that scenario is this chair! But after that, Kev was quite unproductive.

He still has no appetite and I thinks it's because he is filled on pills... he doesn't even ask what they are anymore. About 6pm, Kev pulled the Hat Trick and got himself another fever. The doctor's pulled blood when last two occurred and even did a chest xRay, but found nothing out of the ordinary. With this in mind, it was determined the fevers could be attributed to the cancer coming back a bit. (Normal and Expected)

After that, all was well until Heather showed up with her pumpkin cookies, shortly there after, kev became pretty ill. I would say he got sick as a dog, but I never heard a dog make noises like that. It was more like the sound an elephant would make if he had a popcorn kernel stuck to the roof of his mouth as he moaned because he had to sneeze, burp, and fart at the same time. It was a rough half hour or so, but thanks to Nurse Ann, he got his color back and was back in ready to rest up for his trip home... again keep'm crossed.

Hello Kevin

We were pleased to learn that your white blood count was up this morning. Just keep on raising it, despite the ups and downs of the side effects.

We are sorry that you are off your tucker today. After reading of yesterday's experiences with hospital food we were thinking that we should courier a couple of those nice beef sandwiches from Wellington Hospital Cafeteria to you!

You are in our prayers daily.

Best Wishes from John and Patricia

Morning Honey. You'll probably feel so much better when you get out of that hospital and have some home cooking. Positive thoughts today. Know that I am thinking of you and I LOVE YOU!

Mornin sweetie!

I bet by now you feel a little like a pin cushion, huh? Well truth be known, those pin cushions are really self healing types and I know that vast inner strength you have will do the same thing for you so don't let those vampires get to you too badly!

Glad to hear you made it to the chair yesterday even if it was a torture chamber, ugh! Got to keep up your strength. Maybe somebody will smuggle in some good ol' fashion chicken soup for you. It works miracles and tastes good too!

It is so good to read your brother's updates. I think he's missing a career in comedy, or even sales!

I think of you often, but when I do you're in a Karate stance and you just keep kicking this thing in the teeth!

Love, Mom

Hi Darlin',

It is good to hear you made it to the chair, even if it is the old Ford Pinto type.

just put in www.youtube.com Then when the site opens up type in the search bar Jesus do you know him?
It will be the first video listed. It's an awesome video. Hope it helps to give you strength, courage, and perseverance. Lean on your friends, I can see by the comments that you have so many good good friends who love you. That's what it's all about anyway. NDigion
