coming home

Hello everybody! It's me, Mark, the Dad. As I sat today at Kevin's bedside, eating a doughnut, that I dribbled down the front of my black shirt, I thought I would try my hand at blogging, something I know nothing about.

I arrived at the hospital at 9:07 a.m. After circling the parking lot 17 times, I finally found a spot. I thought about putting a number on Kev's Jeep, slapping a Geisinger decal on the hood, and becoming a Nascar driver for the day!

When I got to Kev's room he looked better today than yesterday, although still very tired. His team of doctors arrived and we received great news! His vitals were good and his white blood cell count was up to nearly normal, which means he will probably came home. Speaking of doctors, his mom, his brother and myself could not be more satisfied that Kev is getting the absolute best care possible. The nursing staff is the best...none better. You don't know how good that makes us feel.

I just wanted to let you all know how grateful we are for your thoughts, prayers, cards, e-mails, texts, and comments, and also how personally lucky I am for having been blessed with a great family. A wonderful, caring wife and 2 great sons who
someday will be paying all of our bills while we lounge on the beach in Hawaii, sipping drinks with those little umbrella's in them.

We are all looking forward to the day Kevin is once again jet-setting around the world in places I've never heard of.

Once again, Thank you each and every one for your concern and support.

Sincerely,
Mark

Hi sweetie,
So glad you are home! You must have been a good boy. I am sure the nurses will miss "their Kevin," but your Mom will be so glad to see you and have you at home. God bless your family for keeping the updates on You each day, we really do appreciate the comment each day.

Hi Kev and Dad!

I'm off to Dubai on Thursday and will pick up something for you guys, maybe a camel. Not sure how your mom would feel about it in the house though!

I am so pleased with your progress Kevy but not the least bit surprised. You are one tough cookie and able to beat anything. Heaven knows you've got a lot of cheerleaders on your side!

I think of you and you family everyday and pray that God blesses you each second of the day - I know he's listening. If he causes me to work in the Middle East he owes me one!

Get well for Turkey Day so you can enjoy Thanksgiving at home. And who knows what strange fellow adventurer you'll meet on an airplane from Scranton to Chicago LOL

I still can't believe we were both doing work in Dubai! That was the beginning of a very special friendship. God blessed me with meeting you my dear friend,

Love ya!

Hi Kev,

I'm not surprised your dad is blogging. He is super cool like you.

Well....I am not the least bit surprised you are doing better. You are the strongest person I know. Besides you and I - I don't know many people who have overcome so much and still manage to dart all over the world. That is pretty cool huh? We rock!

I was thinking of bringing you and your family something back from Dubai. What do you think about a Camel? Besides the spitting they're ok but your mom might not like Mr. Stinky in the formal lounge. :-)

I think I'm heading to China soon as well so get well soon so I have a fellow adventurer to talk to it about! I afraid I might be guest of honor at a dinner party and you know what that means! Yucky!

I noticed I am not your only cheerleader. You are a real sweet talker mister as I see it you have a whole cheerleading swad! LOL We really need matching uniforms dude.

I mean Tom Brady doesn't hold a candle to you when it comes to a fan base!

I miss you and can't wait to see you hopefully over the holidays. Insha'allah as they say in this part of the world! I love that phrase in business as it doesnt lock me into anything. Heheh

Good bless you and your family.

Love you loads,
