swing and a miss...

We made our 3 o'clock appointment with little warning. They took Kev directly when we arrived and it all seemed good. They tried to get a good fluid return from his spine, but they couldn't find a spot. They tried again, no luck! They re-numbed him and stabbed his spine a third time, not enough fluid. They were pretty determined, considering over an hour had passed and they kept failing to find what they were looking for! They stabbed a needle into Kev's spine one last time and Kev had to call the dogs off. Failed attempt after failed attempt put Kev in a very miserable and painful situation.

He had this treatment 6 times before and things went O.K., but his last procedure was done on Friday... presumably there was not enough time for the natural spinal fluids to rejuvenate, not sure, we'll know more tomorrow after rounds. After the spinal debacle we cruised up to BP 839 and started the first of the 5 day regiment.

On a side note, Ma has strep-throat and is really under the weather. She has worked so hard taking care of everyone else she forgot about herself. Lots of rest and she'll be O.K. and back in charge.

We've had a rough start to the final leg in the race, but a on a positive note, Kev was able to purchase TWO brand new winter tires for just $179.00 american dollars!

Sorry things didn't go well yesterday. It seems you alway's have to go thru the storm before you see that rainbow! I'm sure brighter, sunnier days are ahead. I hope sooner than later. Prayers are with all of you. BJ, taking good care of Kev, you're the best! Give Ma a hug... distant one.... don't you get sick too!
God Bless

Hey Seelys! I'm sure you feel like there is some cultural diversity missing in your lives since I haven't been around! My boss knows that I am broke and is completely taking advantage of it! I joke that she's taking advantage of my skin color! I get updates on Kev through Bri and love reading BJs updates on here when I can get to the computer. I can't wait to see everyone again. I'm so happy to hear how well Kev is doin!
Much love, Reese

Wow nice job on the tires Kevin! I won't even tell you what I had to pay last week....lets just say not a pretty picture.

Tell those nurses they better start getting it right the first time or I will have to come up there and get rowdy, and trust me they will not enjoy that! haha

Love and miss you mister.

I need you back home to help scold Bailey for getting into the Christmas tree, she is non stop with that darn thing. Hopefully we will get up to see you soon.

Love, Lauren
