no bones about it?

After the weekend home we started round 3 with a visit to the Knapper Clinic to see Dr. Khan. (see treatment tab on site) He gave Kev some good news. We are 25% done with the treatment and there is NO signs of the cancer in his marrow. We are uncertain of the communication malfunction, but Dr. Khan, Dr. Khan (like the song) is the big shot and he said no. He was also pleased with how well Kev's immune system bounced back after his white count was so low. More good news.

After the clinic we returned to the 8th floor (rm 838), which is great for us because the kitchen with all the ice cream, pudding, and drink is really close, but not so cool for Kev since the lady across the hall has a bit of hearing problem and keeps her TV loud enough to be heard by ears of corn!

Kev went for two walks today around the hall and has been eating quite a bit too. Ma made some soup. His white bloods are up, but the chemo now causes his reds to be down, so he's a bit lethargic. He received a pinto-o-blood today that perked him up and made for a pretty good day. We discovered that he and I are the same blood type, but when I mentioned this he said he didn't want any of my blood... he already has enough problems!

Hey Kevin,

Sounds like things are looking good up there :) Just think that once you are better we can all go to Bora Bora to celebrate and drink lots of Pink, or maybe they will have Fiji Gold. I think it was a good idea that you steered clear of BJ's blood, I am not too sure of him either (just kidding BJ). Tell your mom to put some soup in the freezer for me and Lauren and I will be sure to eat it up when we come back up to visit. I sure could go for some more of that ice cream they had on the 8th floor....yummy. Well I am going to go back to listening to Gripshover now.
Miss ya

Hi Kev,

Well done on all the improvements matey! You are the best!

I am so happy to hear things are on the up for you. You have worked very hard and it's good to see the results paying off.

I am heading back to the bloody Middle East tomorrow (different kind of blood but still dodgy! At least this time it won't be 130F in the shade, I'm even freezing in Florida - Darn that place) but I'll be back for Christmas or my mother will be one unhappy lady and I don't like to make my mother angry. Somethings never change.

Well I'll be thinking of you on the fun 14 hour flight. You will get lots of extra prayers tomorrow since I will pray the whole time for you. Somehow the company managed to put me in Economy. Oh well, that's what Skymiles are for. ;-)

See ya soon hunny! Love ya lots!

Big hugs and kisses,

Barbs xx

PS I like Sharon's Bora Bora idea. Sounds like a great party. I'll bring the Pimms and Jack's Fizz. Anyone for English Breakfast? Hehe

Happy Halloween Kevy!

I was thinking of a really funny halloween and knew you would get the warped sense of humour - very British but hey,the Brits are funny. Speaking of which, have you seen 'Trump versus the Scot'? How funny is that guy? And to make it even better he is just like my Scotish friends. Gotta love those 'Sweaty Socks'.

One year I dressed up as a box of cereal with a knife though it.

Know what I was? A serial killer! LOL

I hope you feel well enough today to dress up in something crazy - oh yea don't worry the gown will do but what a time to get your human colour back. Oh and BE SURE to eat some sweets! Or shall I eat them for you?

Maybe you will have Booberries for breakfast? SCARY....

What did one ghost say to the other Ghost?

Do you believe in humans?

For the sake of everyone on the forum I will stop.

Have a great day sweetie! I'm so happy to hear you are doing better. It's just the first step on the way up to super healthy Kevin again...

Love ya,

B xx

Happy Halloween Babe!!
Make sure you keep the nurses on their toes today! And if anyone looking like a gorilla walks in with a stethoscope (question it)!! I also want to say probably a good thought on the no BJ blood. Although he has been taking great care of you so maybe next time if it happens again (which it won't)! Sounds like things are getting better for you and your family, can't wait to see you again. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I will work on cooking you guys something really good! Love ya lots.

Happy Halloween Son!

Glad to hear all the good news! Round 3 will be over before you know it! I recommend you don't drink any blood today... it's probably just costume blood! Yuk, yuk, yuk

What do doctors and nurses dress up as for halloween? I'll bet they keep you in stitches! Oh noooo!

Guess I should cut out the corny stuff huh? Did you get some vampire teeth?

Well, keep your chin up and remember I love you and want you well soon!

Love, Your Other Mamma
